Job summary

St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Newport Beach, CA is seeking a Facilities Support team member. The role opens and prepares classrooms and campus areas each day and assists with grounds, minor repairs, and event setup to keep the facility welcoming for ministry and community activities.

The position is full-time, non-exempt, with early mornings, evenings, and weekend hours. Candidates should have a high school diploma and some custodial experience; English fluency required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months to one year of facilities or custodial experience required.
• Basic mathematical skills and the ability to work with systems of measure.
• Must speak and understand English; bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Open and prepare Preschool classrooms, building and playground each day.
• Open buildings and disarm alarms.
• Prepare grounds around buildings, ensuring areas are clean and welcoming.
• Assist with repairs such as replacing lights, repairing furniture, and patching walls.
• Report damage or repair needs to Facilities Lead.
• Assist with event setup and tear down when needed.
• Ensure setups for early events are complete.
• Refill paper products and other consumables; spot clean; manage inventory.
