Job summary

Pacific University is seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to maintain, operate, and repair campus buildings and systems at Forest Grove campus. The role requires broad trades knowledge (electrical, carpentry, plumbing) and the ability to inspect, diagnose, and fix issues while documenting work.

You will perform preventative maintenance, respond to safety and emergency situations, and may lead other workers. Valid Oregon driver’s license and 5+ years of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of overall related facilities working experience. Valid Oregon Driver’s License.
• Ability to interpret and follow written schematics and blueprints.
• Strong communication and customer service skills with diverse campus populations.
• Willingness to work at heights and in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Operate and repair campus building systems in electrical, carpentry, plumbing and related trades.
• Inspect, repair, install and maintain facilities and equipment.
• Lead or instruct other workers as required.
• Respond to safety and emergency situations and coordinate with campus community.
• Coordinate with outside contractors following university procedures.
