Job summary

Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon, seeks a skilled facilities maintenance technician to perform repairs, installations, and event-support duties across campus. The role requires handling electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and general systems tasks with emphasis on safety and reliability.

The position is 30 hours per week year-round, with a comprehensive benefits package. The successful candidate will work independently and with campus teams, often coordinating with outside contractors

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of facilities experience.
• Valid Oregon Driver’s License.
• Able to work weekends and overtime.
• Ability to speak and understand English.
• Spanish literacy a plus.
• Willing to work at heights up to 50 ft.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and general repairs to new/existing installations on campus.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing malfunctions.
• Repair windows, doors, screens, floor coverings, drywall, and painted surfaces.
• Maintain roof and gutter systems and assist with dormitory repairs.
• Construct concrete forms and basic cabinetry needs in all buildings.
• Repair building lighting systems, drain and sewer cleaning.
• Respond to safety and emergency situations regarding students, faculty, and staff.
