BSPS is seeking a Facilities Director to lead the daily operations of the district's facilities portfolio, including campuses, athletic facilities, and support buildings. You will manage staff, contractors, and vendors to keep buildings safe, compliant, and ready for learning.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, capital projects, life-safety compliance, and strong communication with district leadership, schools, and community partners.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in facilities management, building maintenance, construction, skilled trades, or related environment.
• Ability to lead employees, establish expectations, evaluate performance, and build an accountable team.
• Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, boilers, plumbing, electrical, roofing, controls) and grounds equipment.
• Knowledge of fire and life safety inspections, AHERA, pest management, drinking water requirements, OSHA.
• Experience managing contractors and vendors; developing scopes of work, bids, and overseeing performance.
• Experience managing department budgets, purchase orders, invoices, and utility costs.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency with technology; use work orders, preventive maintenance, scheduling, purchasing, reporting.
• Ability to work collaboratively with district leadership, administrators, staff, contractors, community.
• Availability outside normal hours for emergencies and events.
• Ability to perform duties with reasonable accommodations.

Responsabilités

• Lead daily operations of the BSPS Facilities Department and oversee staff and contractors.
• Oversee campus buildings, athletic facilities, central office, bus lot, and off-site learning centers.
• Ensure buildings are safe, compliant, well-maintained, and ready to support teaching and learning.
• Manage work orders, preventive maintenance, summer work, and capital projects.
• Provide leadership for maintenance and grounds staff; supervise contracted custodial and service vendors.
• Ensure life safety inspections, pest management, drinking water compliance, access control, and utility accounts.
• Coordinate with district leadership, building administrators, athletics, food service, transportation, and community partners to align with the school calendar and events.

Formation

Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, construction management, engineering, business, public administration, or related field
