IDEA Public Schools seeks a Facilities Manager to lead custodial operations, ensure safe and sustainable facilities, and drive continuous improvement across maintenance and capital projects. You will hire, develop, and retain staff while partnering with school leaders to meet performance goals.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED, 3+ years in facilities, and 2+ years of team leadership, with MS Office proficiency. A benefits package and potential relocation support are offered.

Qualifications

• Education: HS diploma or GED is required.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years in facilities, maintenance, or construction.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years directly leading a team.
• Experience: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Ensure campus safety and operations before the First Day of School (FDOS).
• Achieve top ratings in the Facilities Audit and complete Start-of-Year checklists.
• Ensure required trainings (Safe Schools, Roadmap) are completed on time.
• Lock and manage chemicals; maintain Campus Safety Scorecard.
• Maintain cost efficiency with budget and energy metrics.
• Act as financial steward and target utility savings annually.
• Partner with campus leaders on CapEx projects and needs.
• Provide timely CapEx quotations for facilities improvements.
• Oversee custodial team retention and development.
• Ensure timely facility requisitions and vendor management.
• Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction for maintenance requests.
