Job summary

Dallas College is seeking a Construction Manager to lead facilities projects from inception through completion. You will oversee major construction, manage schedules and budgets, and coordinate with architects, engineers and contractors to deliver on-time, on-budget outcomes.

The role requires strong leadership, analytical decision-making and excellent communication. On-site work is primary, with potential for hybrid arrangements after six months depending on duties and policy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field; 4+ years construction project management experience and 2+ years supervisory experience.
• Associate degree in related field with 6+ years PM experience and 4+ years supervisory experience.
• Eight years construction project management experience and six years supervisory experience.
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple construction projects including architectural, roofing, paving, MEP systems and infrastructure.
• Experience utilizing e-procurement systems (Workday) and project management systems (Projectmates).

Responsibilities

• Oversee new construction and major maintenance and renovation projects from inception to completion.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets to meet objectives.
• Select and manage architects, engineers and consultants; negotiate contracts.
• Coordinate procurement and issue final project documents; manage change orders and pay apps.
• Direct project meetings and maintain accurate minutes for leadership review.
• Ensure compliance with policies, codes and safety practices; maintain project documentation.
• Build strong working relationships with staff, administrators and external contractors.
