Position Title

Campus Events/Logistics Worker (Accepting Applications)

Job Description

Perform all duties as assigned by immediate Supervisor/Manager/Director.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Event set‑ups and breakdowns, including tents, stages, floor covering, barricades, tables, chairs, etc.
• Office moves, including furniture, file cabinets, ensuring that appropriate moving procedures are followed to prevent damage.
• Dormitory moves, including beds, bunk beds, desks, chests, etc.
• Assist any other department within the campus community and perform any other duties as assigned by immediate Supervisor/Manager/Director.
• Work independently without supervision.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Attend on‑site training within 30 days of hire or provide proof of prior training in event set‑up, packing, wrapping, moving, loading of furniture, and safety training on proper lifting.
• Accept a uniform issued by MSMU.

Job Hours

Hours vary depending on University events, typically ranging between 6:30 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. with varying weekly schedules. Overtime on weekdays, weekends, and holidays will be required as needed. A weekend rotation schedule may be implemented depending on staffing, workloads, and University events. Some overnight shifts may be required with inclement weather, university events or campus emergencies.

Physical Requirements

• Lifting a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Lifting and carrying heavy loads up and down stairs.
• Working in all types of weather.
• Working well as a team.

Salary and Benefits

Minimum Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour.
