Job summary

The University of Texas at Dallas is seeking an Event Coordinator within the University Police Department to provide administrative, operational, and program support for police and security services related to new programs and campus events.

The role requires independent work, strong initiative, and sound judgment within delegated responsibilities, along with the ability to interpret university policies. A Texas driver’s license and successful background check are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours from an accredited college or university.
• One (1) year of continuous employment in police guard, dispatcher, telecommunications operator, or related roles with a UT System component, as determined by the Chief of Police.
• Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license and be eligible to drive a University owned/leased vehicle.
• Must successfully pass a thorough background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a schedule of pending campus events.
• Coordinate with university managers on risk assessments for campus events.
• Coordinate and implement law enforcement/security functions.
• Communicate and brief operational plans with institution partners.
• Ensure safety and security measures are addressed prior to major campus events.
