Job summary

Texans Can Academies is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to safeguard students, staff, and visitors across campuses in the Dallas area. You will patrol grounds, monitor access, and respond to incidents while coordinating with local law enforcement and emergency services as required.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s or relevant security background, Texas security certifications, and a valid Texas driver’s license. Bilingual abilities are preferred for community engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or relevant security experience.
• Must pass fingerprint background check, drug/alcohol screening, and mental health evaluation.
• Texas Level III/IV security certification and License to Carry required.
• Valid Texas driver's license.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
• Strong people and process management skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and welfare of all students, staff, and visitors.
• Patrol grounds, monitor access, and respond to incidents per policy.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
• Assist with special events planning and building operations.
• Maintain CPR/First Aid certification and other required trainings.
• Oversee entry screening and surveillance monitoring.
