Penn State University Transportation Services is seeking an Events Parking Coordinator to support campus events across the University Park campus. The role involves planning, coordinating, and prioritizing work for events, from small groups to large stadium crowds, with emphasis on parking credentials, access codes, and billing.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; no prior relevant work experience required; previous relevant work experience accepted in lieu of education.
• Experience in event planning or coordinating campus events is preferred.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain event communications to improve campus processes.
• Prepare planning materials for each event type and coordinate communications across campus.
• Suggest policy and procedure changes to improve operations.
• Liaise with vendors and internal/external stakeholders involved in events.
• Inventory and order program supplies for events and parking operations.
• Create life-cycle processes for event creation, management, billing, and communication.
• Lead weekly staff meetings with the Event Parking Manager to relay pertinent information.
• Supervise staff distribution to ensure timely completion of tasks.
