Job summary

UNM Public Administration Graduate Student Association is seeking a part-time student employee responsible for the setup and tear-down of event spaces in the Student Union Building. The role involves configuring tables, chairs, stages, and AV equipment, and requires vigor to lift up to 30 lbs.

Flexibility for early mornings, late nights, and weekends is essential to support campus events. This position emphasizes teamwork, reliable communication with the Building Manager, and a hands-on approach

Qualifications

Able to follow the Student Union Employee Handbook guidelines.
Requires ability to lift and move up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

Adherence to Student Union Employee Handbook guidelines.
Set up and tear-down of audio-visual equipment.
Set up and tear-down of chairs, tables, stages, podiums, etc.
Works with the Building Manager and follows their directions regarding pace, prioritization, and aesthetics.
Perform minor audio-visual repairs/troubleshooting.
Maintain a neat, orderly, and safe work environment; ensuring all equipment is returned to the appropriate storage area when not in use.
Ensure that all equipment is always in fully operational condition and report any problems to the supervisor.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
