Job summary

ASUCLA in Los Angeles is seeking an Audiovisual Technician to set up, operate, and maintain AV systems for events in the Student Union. You will handle sound, lighting, and digital projection, perform checks, and ensure high-quality delivery.

You will collaborate with clients via EMS, tailor setups to event needs, and keep equipment organized and safe. This student-centered role offers opportunities for skill development, with 15–20 hours per week and UCLA student eligibility.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Strong knowledge of audio, lighting, and projection systems with troubleshooting skills.
• Willingness to learn EMS for client requests and event setup.
• Flexible, resourceful, and reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
• Must be punctual, safety-conscious, and able to lift at least 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain AV systems for events in the Student Union.
• Perform sound checks, lighting design, and projection alignment; ensure quality of A/V delivery.
• Input and manage client AV requests in EMS to ensure accurate event execution.
• Collaborate with clients to understand event needs and provide professional technical support.
• Maintain equipment and booth organization; ensure readiness for use.
• Work in a student-centered environment with opportunities for skill development.
