Job summary

Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) is seeking student staff to assist with planning and executing campus events. You will help organize inventories, set up and break down events, and support event execution while engaging students in a welcoming environment.

Ideal candidates are enrolled at AUM with at least two semesters remaining, possess strong communication and organizational skills, and can commit to shifts 10:00–15:00 or 17:00–21:00 several days per week.

Qualifications

  • Must have good judgment and excellent oral and written communication.
  • Must be enrolled at AUM with at least two semesters remaining.
  • Available during standard event hours at least three days per week (10:00–15:00 or 17:00–21:00).
  • Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and maintain inventory of event supplies and storage areas.
  • Assist with setup and breakdown of campus events.
  • Support event execution in accordance with guidelines and procedures.
  • Monitor and record student attendance at activities.
  • Handle all college property with care and responsibility.
  • Foster student engagement and maintain a welcoming environment.
  • Ensure activities remain safe, orderly, and compliant with campus policies.
  • Participate in required staff training sessions.
  • Support additional Student Affairs activities and events as assigned.
