Job summary

NC State University is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to join the Facilities Division, Environmental Services team in Raleigh. You will help maintain over 10 million square feet of campus space, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for students and staff.

You’ll work with a team of over 320 professionals and contribute to campus pride and service excellence. Responsibilities include cleaning, reporting maintenance needs, operating cleaning equipment, and performing floor care

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and ability to perform medium to heavy physical work.
• Ability to follow instructions and respond to emergencies or weather events.
• Special certification may be required for some positions.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize designated areas to maintain a hygienic environment.
• Report discrepancies or maintenance needs and respond to emergencies and weather events.
• Operate housekeeping equipment (vacuum, mop, scrubber) to complete tasks.
• Periodically strip/refinish floors, carpet extraction, window washing, and pressure washing.
