Job summary

The Arbor Company is seeking an Engagement Director to lead programming for Independent, Assisted Living, and Memory Care residents at The Arbor at Lake Worth in Lake Worth, FL. You will develop engaging daily activities, plan community events, and create monthly calendars while fostering relationships with residents, families, and staff.

Ideal candidates are creative, organized, and passionate about enriching the lives of older adults, with experience in activities or life enrichment.

Qualifications

• Creative, energetic, and highly organized.
• Passionate about enriching the lives of older adults.
• Experience in activities, recreation, life enrichment, or related field.
• Experience leading events and programs for active adults.
• Experience working in senior living is preferred but not required.
• Experience supporting individuals living with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia is a plus.

The Arbor at Lake Worth is currently hiring for a dynamic Engagement Director to lead our programming for our Independent, Assisted Living and Memory Care residents.

What You'll Do

As our Engagement Director, you'll lead the planning and execution of a vibrant engagement program that celebrates each resident's unique interests and abilities.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop and lead meaningful daily activities for Independent, Assisted Living and Memory Care residents

• Plan community events, celebrations, outings, and family-centered programs

• Create and maintain monthly activity calendars and resident newsletters

• Encourage resident participation through creative, person-centered programming

• Supervise and support activity team members

• Build relationships with residents, families, volunteers, and community partners

• Ensure programs support residents' physical, cognitive, emotional, and social well-being

• Maintain activity supplies, documentation, and regulatory compliance

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who is:

• Creative, energetic, and highly organized

• Passionate about enriching the lives of older adults

• Comfortable leading both group and one-on-one activities

• A positive leader who inspires both residents and team members

• An excellent communicator with strong customer service skills

• Proficient with basic computer programs and administrative tasks

Preferred Qualifications

• At least two year of experience in activities, recreation, life enrichment, or a related field

• Experience leading events and programs for active adults

• Experience working in senior living is preferred but not required

• Experience supporting individuals living with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia is a plus
