Job summary

Arbor Terrace Willistown seeks an Activities Director (Engagement Director) to lead engaging lifestyle programs for Assisted Living and Memory Care residents, creating meaningful experiences that enrich their lives. You will plan daily activities, events, and calendars while building strong relationships with residents and families.

The role emphasizes creative, person-centered programming, supervision of the activity team, and supporting residents’ overall well-being through well-coordinated

Qualifications

• Experience in activities, recreation, or life enrichment preferred.
• Experience in senior living is helpful.
• Ability to support individuals with Alzheimer’s or dementia is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of engaging daily activities for Assisted Living and Memory Care residents.

What You'll Do

As our Activities Director, you'll lead the planning and execution of a vibrant engagement program that celebrates each resident's unique interests and abilities.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop and lead meaningful daily activities for Assisted Living and Memory Care residents

• Plan community events, celebrations, outings, and family-centered programs

• Create and maintain monthly activity calendars and resident newsletters

• Encourage resident participation through creative, person-centered programming

• Supervise and support activity team members

• Build relationships with residents, families, volunteers, and community partners

• Ensure programs support residents' physical, cognitive, emotional, and social well-being

• Maintain activity supplies, documentation, and regulatory compliance

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who is:

• Creative, energetic, and highly organized

• Passionate about enriching the lives of older adults

• Comfortable leading both group and one-on-one activities

• A positive leader who inspires both residents and team members

• An excellent communicator with strong customer service skills

• Proficient with basic computer programs and administrative tasks

Preferred Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in activities, recreation, life enrichment, or a related field

• Experience working in senior living is preferred but not required

• Experience supporting individuals living with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia is a plus
