KU Operations highlights a 24/7 center with 10-hour shifts, rotating days off, and overtime for events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in emergency or non-emergency communications is preferred.
• NCIC certification must be obtained before end of probation.

Responsibilities

• Operate a radio base station and dispatch to emergency services per procedures.
• Answer police lines and 911 calls for the university.
• Log pertinent information and monitor unit status.
• Coordinate communications during routine and emergency situations.
