Job summary

Sodexo at Prairie View A&M University is hiring a Dishwasher to support kitchen operations by keeping areas clean, sanitized, and organized during food production and service. You will wash dishes, sanitize surfaces, restock supplies, and assist with setup and breakdown as needed.

The role requires working with varying shifts, with full-time status; physical stamina for standing long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds is expected. Benefits and a supportive environment are offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• No related work experience.
• Knowledge of sanitation procedures, including basic concepts of food safety.

Responsibilities

• Washes dishes by hand or in a dishwasher.
• Cleans and sanitizes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks.
• Sweeps, mops, cleans and vacuums floors.
• Removes trash and garbage to designated areas.
• Cleans equipment with chemicals to maintain sanitary standards.
• Restocks supplies like soap and towels.
• Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
