Job summary

Genuine Foods is seeking a Dining Service Associate at a campus in Banner Elk, NC. You will prepare and serve food to students, teachers, and parents following the daily menu and recipe standards and engage with Genuine Foods' mission.

The role may also involve cashier, float, or runner duties depending on operational needs, with opportunities to learn culinary skills and advance your career.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of food or customer service experience in a high-volume facility or restaurant.
• Comfortable rotating between multiple roles (cashier, float, runner).
• Prior cash handling or POS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make menu items per recipes and prepare ingredients.
• Cook and assemble all menu items per specifications.
• Operate the POS system and handle payments accurately when cashier duties apply.
• Float between stations (prep, service, cashier) to provide coverage.
• Stock, organize, and maintain clean kitchen and service areas.
• Interact with scholars and teachers to provide excellent service.
• Perform other duties assigned.
