Job summary

Genuine Foods seeks a dedicated Food Service Worker for a Banner Elk higher education site. You will prepare and serve menu items, engage students and educators, and help maintain high standards of food safety and presentation.

The role offers a 4:00 pm - 8:30 pm shift, competitive hourly pay, and opportunities to learn culinary skills while working with a supportive, mission-driven team in a school setting.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced food service environment.

• Experience with make-to-order items like pizzas and deli items is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items according to standardized recipes and specifications.
• Prepare raw ingredients for cooking and food production.
• Serve pizza, salads, deli items and other menu offerings with presentation in mind.
• Stock and replenish stations with fresh ingredients during service.
• Follow food safety, sanitation and portion control procedures at all times.
