Job summary

Genuine Foods is seeking a Student Food Service Worker to operate in a higher education setting in Saint Leo, FL. The role involves preparing and serving meals according to daily menus and recipes, while engaging with students, teachers and parents to advance Genuine Foods’ mission and values.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of food or customer service experience, is flexible and a strong team player, and can work in a school environment.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of food or customer service experience/training in a mid-high volume food service facility or restaurant.
• Must be flexible & team-oriented.
• Able to climb stairs and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Make menu items pursuant to recipes.
• Prepare raw foodstuffs to get ready for final cooking.
• Follow the lead of the Culinary Lead at all times.
• Coordinate with the kitchen team at all times.
• Cook and assemble all menu items pursuant to specifications.
• Stock and organize the kitchen area.
• Clean and maintain cooking utensils.
• Interact with scholars and teachers as needed to provide excellent service.
• Maintain clean service areas.
• Any other duties assigned
• Alert Culinary Lead of any workplace problems
