Job summary

Genuine Foods is seeking a Dining Service Associate for a higher education setting in Banner Elk, NC. This role involves preparing and serving meals to students, teachers, and parents, with potential cashier duties as needed.

You will work closely with the kitchen team and adhere to daily menus and recipes. Responsibilities include executing menu items, operating the POS system, and providing excellent customer service within a school environment.

Qualifications

• Must be flexible and team-oriented.
• 1-3 years of food or customer service experience in a mid-high volume facility or restaurant.
• Comfortable rotating between cashier, float, and runner roles.
• Prior cash handling or POS experience preferred.
• Positive attitude with strong work ethic and punctuality.
• Able to climb stairs and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work in a school environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food per recipes and standards.
• Cook and assemble menu items per specifications.
• Coordinate with Culinary Lead and kitchen team.
• Operate POS and handle payments when assigned.
• Float between prep, service, cashier to provide coverage.
• Run food, supplies, and equipment between kitchen and dining areas.
