Campus Auxiliary Services at SUNY Geneseo is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead daily dining operations, ensure food safety, manage staff, and uphold high standards of service across meals and late hours.

The role requires a two-year degree in food service or hospitality and management experience; ServSafe preferred. The Assistant Manager will train employees, schedule, handle payroll tasks, and collaborate with marketing on promotions, maintaining compliance.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in food service, hospitality or culinary arts.
• Two years of management experience or equivalent.
• ServSafe Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations including food safety, staffing, scheduling and supervision.
• Train and supervise union and non-union staff to ensure performance and adherence to policies.
• Manage hiring, training, payroll, performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation regulations and company standards.
• Lead inventory, maintain quality and safety criteria for production areas.
• Coordinate with marketing to develop and implement promotions.
