Job summary

Responsibilities include greeting guests, maintaining a clean serving line, replenishing items, verifying temperatures, assisting kitchen staff, and supporting catered events as needed. Evening or weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Food service, cafeteria, hospitality experience preferred but not required.
• Texas Food Handler Certification preferred or ability to obtain within required timeframe.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Greet students, faculty, staff, and guests in a friendly, courteous manner.

• Maintain a clean, well-stocked serving line.
• Replenish food, beverages, condiments, and serving supplies.
• Ensure food is kept at proper serving temperatures per safety standards.
• Follow food safety regulations established by local, state, and federal agencies.
• Assist with preparing serving stations before meals and cleaning after service.
• Assist with catered events and university functions.
• Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
