Job Purpose

The Food Service Worker at Wiley University is responsible for ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of the food service area, providing high-quality meals and exceptional service to students, faculty, and staff. This role is crucial in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment while adhering to all health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the food service area, including equipment, utensils, and workspaces.
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of food service stations, ensuring all items are properly stocked and available.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, following all operational guidelines.
• Monitor food inventory levels and report shortages or discrepancies to the supervisor.
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.
• Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and disposal procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective food service operations.
• Participate in training sessions and meetings to stay informed about new policies, procedures, and menu changes.

Qualifications

Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
