Job summary

University of South Carolina seeks a Custodian and Housekeeping Maintenance for campus facilities in Columbia. Responsibilities include general housekeeping, maintenance tasks, and event setup across campus venues. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of relevant experience.

Preferred candidates have experience with work order systems and proficiency in Word/Excel. A valid driver’s license and OSHA training are required.

Qualifications

• Typically holds a high school diploma or GED.
• Requires 2 or more years of job related experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Successfully complete annual OSHA training.

Responsibilities

• Floor maintenance: vacuum, shampoo carpets, dust mop, strip wax tile and hard surfaces floors.
• Remove and replace light bulbs; perform minor electrical and plumbing repairs.
• Provide assistance set up for special events; set up resources for each venue event.
• Other duties as assigned.
