Job summary

University of South Carolina Upstate is seeking a Custodian and Housekeeping Maintenance team member for 2nd shift in Spartanburg, SC. The role includes floor care, light maintenance, and event setup duties while maintaining clean, safe facilities.

Must be adaptable to weekends and overtime as needed. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years of related experience, valid driver's license, and OSHA training.

Qualifications

• Typically holds a high school diploma or GED.
• Requires 2+ years of job-related experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must complete annual OSHA training.
• Preferred: high school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of related trade/general maintenance experience.
• Proficiency with electronic work order systems and MS Word/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Floor maintenance: vacuum, shampoo carpets, dust mop, strip wax tile and hard surfaces.
• Maintain equipment and perform minor repairs.
• Set up for events with tables, chairs, stages and other resources.
• Other duties as assigned.
