Job summary

California State University Long Beach is seeking a Custodian to perform custodial, janitorial, and maintenance duties in assigned areas under supervision. The ideal candidate will know standard cleaning techniques, operate power cleaning equipment, and use custodial systems for work orders.

• Knowledge of standard cleaning techniques and safe operation of power cleaning equipment.
• Ability to read and follow work orders and safety procedures.
• Strong organizational and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintains neat and clean facilities for faculty, staff, and visitors.
• Removes Trash/Recycle paper, cardboard and various materials.
• Maintains facility safety procedures and security measures.
• Positive interaction and communication of custodial activities.
• Maintains and operates vacuums, wet/dry vacuums, buffers, auto scrubbers, blowers, etc.
