Job summary

Loyola Marymount University is seeking a responsible custodian for routine cleaning and upkeep of campus buildings. You will respond to cleaning requests, assist in moving furniture, and help ensure a clean, safe, and professional environment for the LMU community.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of cleaning experience in large facilities. Must follow safety policies and CDC guidelines, with opportunities to train new staff and support various campus

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum two years of professional cleaning experience.
• Experience in large facilities such as hotels or schools preferred.
• Ability to follow written instructions and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning, disinfection, and maintenance of buildings as scheduled by supervisors.
• Dust and clean furnishings, restrooms, windows, floors, and fixtures; operate cleaning equipment.
• Empty trash, replace liners, and keep supply rooms organized and stocked.
• Replenish soap and paper supplies in pantries and restrooms.
• Assist in relocation and setup of furniture; support on-the-job training for new staff.
• Conserve energy by switching off lights and reporting leaks or malfunctions.
• Adhere to safety policies and CDC guidelines to maintain a safe campus environment.
• Report needs and concerns and assist with work orders as directed.
