Job summary

Northern Arizona University is hiring a full-time Custodian in Housing to maintain clean, safe facilities on the Flagstaff campus. The role reports to a Custodial Assistant Manager and includes routine cleaning tasks across classrooms, residence halls, lobbies and offices from 6am to 3pm, Monday through Friday with rotating weekends.

Primary duties include sweeping, mopping, dusting, restroom cleaning, trash removal, and minor repairs.

Qualifications

• No/limited prior experience required.
• High school degree.
• One year of cleaning experience.

Responsibilities

• Cleans classrooms, residence halls, hallways, lobbies, lab rooms and offices.
• Sweeps, mops, polishes, strips and waxes floors.
• Dusts and polishes furniture, blinds, equipment.
• Cleans restrooms and fills dispensers.
• Vacuums carpets and furniture; may shampoo as needed.
• Initiates work orders for repairs and reports malfunctions.
• Locks/unlocks doors; moves furniture as required.
• Washes windows and maintains equipment and safety practices.
