William & Mary is seeking a Custodial Worker for the 5am–2pm shift to maintain campus cleanliness and a safe environment for students and staff. Duties include cleaning restrooms, floors, windows, and general spaces while following safety rules and PPE requirements.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, outdoor work in temperature extremes, and willingness to work overtime during peak periods. Starting salary is $32,240 with full benefits.

Formación

• Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand English to effectively communicate and understand others, and to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to operate powered and non-powered cleaning equipment.
• Must be willing and able to learn the use of heavy floor care equipment.
• Ability to work outdoors in temperatures below 32 degrees and indoors above 90 degrees.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time; lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs.; tolerate frequent bending, stooping, and climbing stairs.

Responsabilidades

• Perform general custodial and cleaning duties in academic, auxiliary, athletic, administrative and/or residential facilities.
• Clean, sanitize and maintain living, teaching, studying, work, research, and public spaces by following established practices and procedures.
• Move furniture to facilitate deep cleaning and prepare floors for refinishing.
• Follow safety and PPE guidelines and understand chemical handling and storage procedures.
