Wheaton College in Norton, MA invites applications for a Custodian - 1st Shift in Building Services. This full-time role maintains a clean, safe campus environment, supports events, and handles furniture movement as needed.

The position offers a competitive hourly rate of $18 and a shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Sunday through Thursday, with overtime and a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualificações

• Read and follow oral and written instructions.
• Organize and prioritize workload with minimal supervision.
• Work independently and as part of a team; resolve problems.
• Lift and move heavy furniture and operate bulky equipment.
• Physically capable of lifting 40–50 lbs.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Custodial services: Clean all building areas and furnishings using proper equipment and procedures.
• Waste & Recycling: Empty and transport rubbish and recycling, maintain bins and signage.
• Safety & Security: Follow safety guidelines, secure areas, report hazards and follow chemical safety rules.
• Emergency Response: Provide department emergency response support as needed and work overtime when required.
• Furniture movement: Move and rearrange furniture as requested to meet needs.
• Event Support: Assist with event setups and logistics for campus events and programs.
• Service & Support: Respond to work orders and complaints in a timely, professional manner.
• Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned or required; attend required training.
