Job summary

Grand Canyon University seeks a CSLP student worker to support the Empower College Prep partnership in Phoenix. You will conduct campus walkthroughs, deliver detention notices, retrieve student cell phones, and supervise students during rounds.

The role requires current GCU enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s program, minimum GPA as stated, and completion of FAFSA for eligibility. Hours are limited to 20 per week during the academic year, with possible summer work, ending June 30, 2027.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled at GCU in a bachelor’s or master’s program full-time during fall/spring or half-time during summer.
• Maintain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Previous mentoring a plus.
• Ability to speak a second language a plus.

Responsibilities

• High School Conduct routine campus walkthroughs and report concerns, including students outside of class without appropriate authorization.
• Deliver detention notices and related communications to teachers.
• Retrieve student cell phones from classrooms at the request of teachers.
• Supervise students as needed when the Culture Coordinator is conducting campus rounds, and coordinate with the Vice Principal regarding any issues that arise.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
