Job summary

LA Alliance is seeking a Scholar Culture Liaison to supervise scholars on campus, build positive relationships, and support a safe, inclusive environment through restorative practices and proactive behavior interventions.

The role emphasizes de-escalation, early intervention, and collaboration with staff to implement social-emotional supports and tiered behavior programs for a healthy scholar culture in Los Angeles.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
• 2+ years of experience in a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in human development, psychology, social work, education or related field preferred; 5+ years experience if no degree.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with scholars to foster trust, respect, and cooperation while teaching behavioral expectations.
• Supervise scholar activity areas during transitions, breaks, and lunch periods.
• Assist in general supervision focusing on discipline and behavioral expectations and policy enforcement.
• Follow behavior incident reporting protocols to inform administrators.
• Implement universal Tier I interventions to prevent minor behaviors.
• Schedule and facilitate restorative meetings to address conflict and rebuild community.
