Job summary

The University of Minnesota is seeking a licensed social worker to provide individual and group counseling to students at UMD Counseling Services, with emphasis on assessment, diagnosis, treatment, crisis response, and outreach to underrepresented students.

You will maintain clinical documentation, collaborate with advisors and health services, participate in triage and education groups, and support campus-wide mental health initiatives.

Qualifications

• BA/BS plus at least two years of experience or a combination of related education and work experience to equal at least six years.
• Minnesota Social Worker Licensure is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling and psychotherapy (90% of time).
• Complete intake/assessment/diagnostic interviews and maintain documentation.
• Participate in mental health triage and coordinate referrals to campus and local resources.
• Collaborate with advisors, student affairs, medical, psychiatric, disability, and career services to coordinate care.
• Attend meetings, serve on committees, and contribute to outreach efforts across campus.
