Job summary

The Counselor, Outreach Coordinator at UW-La Crosse serves as a generalist mental health provider for students, promoting mental health literacy and coordinating outreach for the Counseling & Testing Center.

The role includes intake assessments, crisis assessment, individual and group counseling, outreach activities, collaboration with campus partners, and supervision of practicum students when eligible. Regular full-time schedule August 1 to May 31 with potential limited hybrid telework.

Qualifications

• Licensed mental health professional (LPC/LCSW/LMFT) or eligible for WI license by reciprocity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with public speaking, teaching, or providing psychoeducational programming.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, crisis, and occasional couples counseling for UW-L student clients.
• Perform intake, triage, and crisis assessments and referrals.
• Organize and coordinate CTC outreach activities and campus presentations.
