Qualifications

• Master’s degree or Ph.D. in counseling, psychology, social work, or closely related field.
• Virginia licensure (LPC, LCSW, LP) or eligibility for licensure.
• Excellent counseling, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to develop psychoeducational programs and provide consultation.
• Ability to work with diverse student populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual mental health counseling for students and maintain confidential clinical records.
• Conduct clinical assessments, provide referrals, and coordinate care with campus and community resources.
• Provide crisis intervention, emergency response, and rotating on-call coverage.
• Provide consultation to faculty, staff, parents, and students regarding student mental health and well-being.
• Develop and facilitate psychoeducational programs, workshops, and presentations for students and groups.
• Design and implement outreach and educational initiatives that promote well-being and reduce stigma.
• Collaborate with campus units to promote integrated wellness initiatives.
• Assist with Edge Program activities and program assessment.
