Job summary

Sodexo at Murray State University in Murray, KY is seeking a Cook to prepare, portion, cook and present hot and cold items for all meal periods and events in line with culinary standards. In a fast-paced kitchen, you will follow recipes, maintain food safety, and work with a team to deliver quality dining experiences.

HS diploma or GED, 0–2 years related experience, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds are preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• 0–2 years of related work experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of food-handling procedures and equipment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Read and follow a recipe unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, cook, and present hot and cold items per standards.
• Maintain safe, clean workstation and follow sanitation guidelines.
• Work with team to deliver high-quality dining experiences.
• Assist with events and meal service during varied shifts.
