Job summary

Responsibilities include developing integrated programs, mentoring staff, managing budgets, planning annual events, and partnering with Marketing and External Relations to expand donor and community ties.

• 3+ years of experience in outreach and engagement.
• Experience collaborating with campus departments and programs.
• Experience supervising and mentoring staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategies for a comprehensive campus and community relations program with measurable objectives.
• Supervise Outreach and Engagement Coordinator with clear goals and regular feedback.
• Coordinate with library staff and campus groups to align messaging and increase visibility.
• Lead planning and execution of large events in partnership with Exhibitions and Programming librarian.
• Collaborate with Library leadership for outreach priorities and stay informed on academic library issues.
• Cultivate empathy, collaboration, and respectful work culture across teams.
• Plan, administer, and monitor program budgets; implement project management and assessment.
• Develop annual event and media calendars to avoid overlap and build awareness.
• Create staff training guidelines for engaging with the academic community and the public.
• Partner with campus development to raise donor awareness and opportunities for giving.
• Serve as liaison with University Marketing and Communications for information flow.
