Job summary

Connecticut State Community College (CT State) seeks a Strategic Communications & Marketing Coordinator to join the Manchester campus. This on-site role develops, implements, and evaluates integrated communications and marketing strategies to advance campus priorities and enrollment goals.

Working with campus leadership, Institutional Advancement, and CT State Marketing, you will manage media relations, content, social media, and executive communications, serving CT State Manchester, Middlesex,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an appropriately related field together with two (2) or more years of related experience.
• Experience in journalism, social media and public relations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic communications and marketing plans aligned with campus and college priorities.
• Create and manage integrated campaigns supporting enrollment growth, student success, workforce development initiatives, fundraising efforts, community engagement, and events.
• Develop and distribute press releases and maintain relationships with local media.
• Coordinate website content for the campus with CT State Web Services team.
• Write, edit and produce documents supporting campus programs and events.
• Serve as campus communications advisor to leadership for events and outreach.
• Develop written remarks for leadership as needed.
• Advise campus leadership on opportunities to promote the campus.
• Oversee campus social media accounts and engagement strategy.
• Support development of marketing materials, newsletters, and digital communications.
• Coordinate photography, videography, and storytelling to strengthen brand.
• Support campus events, donor engagement, and public-facing initiatives.
• Coordinate with freelancers, contractors or other campus coordinators.
