Job summary

Alpha reimagines the school day around faster learning, mentorship, and real-world skill development. As Athletic Director, you will build a coaching culture, lead Guides who coach students, and run life-skills workshops that leave lasting impressions beyond academics.

You will use performance data to diagnose gaps, drive improvements, and maintain a high standard of coaching excellence across your campus. This role requires remote collaboration and on-campus presence in select locations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in education, learning and development, coaching, youth leadership, or related field.
• Has directly managed one or more adult employees on an ongoing basis.
• Has personally selected at least one candidate for hire into their team.
• Has personally taken and put in writing at least one specific corrective action, directed at a direct report, in response to underperformance.
• Has personally proposed or approved termination of at least one direct report for performance reasons.

Responsibilities

• Coach and develop Guides to deliver Alpha's coaching model with consistency and high standards.
• Lead life skills workshops on communication, focus, leadership, and resilience for K-8 students.
• Use performance data to identify coaching opportunities and drive measurable improvements weekly.
• Lead motivation sessions to help students set and achieve ambitious goals.
• Maintain your own student cohort and model coaching excellence and accountability.
