Job summary

Student PIRGs is hiring Campus Organizers to mobilize students across 100+ campuses, driving campaigns on environment, public health, democracy, and consumer protection. You will recruit volunteers, train student organizers, build coalitions, and lead citizen outreach campaigns to win key initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Recruit hundreds of volunteers to petition, host events and more.
• Help students run strategic campaigns (e.g., environmental, health, democracy).
• Build and maintain coalitions with student organizations.
• Train students to organize events, work with media, and advocate with officials.
• Help build a student-funded, student-run organization through fundraising and outreach.
• Lead a summer citizen outreach campaign office and manage canvass teams.
• Grow the movement by recruiting volunteers and organizers.
• Exercise discretion and independent judgment on significant matters.
