Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services is seeking a kitchen team member to prepare high-quality foods in accordance with standardized recipes and schedules. You will ensure proper portioning, food safety temperatures, and attractive presentation while upholding HACCP standards.

The role supports production planning, ordering, and maintaining cleanliness across kitchen areas, with opportunities for training and development. Schedule includes full-time and part-time shifts in a campus setting.

Qualifications

• 1 year of institutional cooking experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat; stores or discards excess food per standards.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required.
• Assists in the ordering and receiving of all food and supplies as required.
