Job summary

Utah State University in Logan, UT is hiring a Catering Kitchen Prep Cook to prepare meals for campus events and potentially assist the Aggie Marketplace. The role requires maintaining high food-safety standards, presenting dishes per event specs, and working with a flexible schedule including mornings and evenings.

Hours are variable and pay is based on experience; benefits are limited as this is a non-benefited, hourly position.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years catering cooking experience or 3-4 years restaurant line cook experience.
• Available to work Monday-Saturday as needed for scheduled events.
• Food Handler's Permit required within the first 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Preparing meals for events for University Catering and possibly Aggie Marketplace.
• Ensure proper food handling procedures and quality expectations.
• Keep workstation clean, orderly, and sanitized.
• Plate and present food as specified for each event.
• Cook meats, sauces, starches, and vegetables.
• Help other areas during busy times.
• Other duties assigned
