Job summary

Columbia Hospitality, Inc. is seeking a Catering and Events Manager at the University of Puget Sound. The role oversees all catering and event services, managing operations, staff and client relations across campus events.

You will partner with sales and events teams to plan and execute functions, supervise staff including students, and maintain safety and service quality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Two years of related supervisory or lead experience in a hotel banquet or catering environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Must be able to work shifts of twelve or more hours.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversees operations management for all catering and event services, ensuring efficient coordination and service delivery.
• Manages all aspects of catering and event services including operations, setup, service, staffing and cleanup.
• Interviews, hires, trains, and provides feedback for catering staff including students.
• Sets and adheres to operational expense budgets with the Director of DES.
• Plans and executes functions and special events with Sales and Catering teams.
• Maintains a safe and sanitary work environment.
