Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Baker for Prairie View A&M University. You will prepare baked goods from scratch, follow recipes, and uphold Sodexo culinary standards to ensure high-quality pastry items for guests. The role involves varied shifts, with duties that may differ by account.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 1 year of related work experience.
• Experience in a specialized bakery or pastry role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check daily production schedules and follow Sodexo recipes to prepare a variety of baked items from scratch.
• Accurately weigh and measure ingredients, mix doughs and batters by hand or mixer, shape and bake items.
• Regulate oven temperatures and ensure correct holding and serving temperatures.
• Set up bake shop area, stock, rotate, label and date products, keep the bakery clean and organized.
• Attend shift on time; perform other duties as assigned.
