Point Loma Nazarene University seeks a Media Services Technician to provide event, classroom, and audiovisual support across campus. This role assists in setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audio, video, lighting, and classroom technologies used throughout the University.

The ideal candidate is dependable, customer-service focused, eager to learn new technologies, organized, adaptable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Audio Production, Media Technology, Information Technology, Communications, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two years of experience supporting audiovisual equipment, live events, or classroom technology.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of audio, video, lighting, and presentation technologies.

Responsibilities

• Event Support: Setup, operate, and teardown AV equipment for campus events and classes.
• Classroom & Technology Support: Deploy, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair classroom AV equipment; manage inventories.
• Customer Service: Provide professional support to faculty, staff, students, and guests.
• Team Collaboration: Work with engineers and technicians; train student workers; follow policies.
• Professional Development: Learn emerging AV technologies and best practices.
