Job summary

Columbia Basin College in Washington state is seeking a Director of Auxiliary Services to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the college’s auxiliary enterprises, including leased properties, dining and retail services, and vendor partnerships.

The role ensures financial sustainability, responsiveness to campus needs, and alignment with long-term goals, while evolving service models to improve student experience and adapt to market conditions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent).
• Experience managing multiple projects and programs simultaneously.
• Experience coordinating with vendors, budgets, and procurement processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee leased properties and auxiliary service agreements, ensuring vendor performance and contract compliance.
• Serve as liaison with external agencies for lease creation, negotiation, and management.
• Supervise vendor relationships across auxiliary services and implement improvements.
• Coordinate with CBC Foundation to support auxiliary operations and campus vending services.
• Lead planning, development, and evaluation of campus dining and food service operations.
• Collaborate with bookstore leadership to oversee bookstore operations and sustainable models.
• Develop strategies to ensure long-term financial viability of campus bookstore and services.
• Identify opportunities to improve revenue, efficiency, and service quality in auxiliary services.
• Monitor financial performance and develop long-range plans aligned with enrollment trends and goals.
• Lead modernization efforts by evaluating trends and implementing innovative service delivery models.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
