Job summary
Broward College's Audiovisual Technology team at Central Campus is seeking an experienced Audiovisual Engineer to design, install, maintain, and support AV solutions across campus locations. You will support high-profile events, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure smooth operation of displays, projectors, sound systems, and conferencing gear.
The role requires an Associate degree or equivalent, 4 years of relevant experience, and hands-on skills with Crestron, AV racks, and networked AV
Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher in business management or technology.
- Four years of relevant experience maintaining and repairing computers and AV equipment.
- AV/IT knowledge including Crestron control systems preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assembles AV racks for in-house installation, including wiring and testing.
- Performs onsite installation following diagrams, including mounting displays and cabling.
- Provides technical assistance to IT support for AV hardware.
- Sets up and tears down equipment for high-profile meetings.
- Trains IT staff on AV hardware and software capabilities.
