Job summary

Bass Pro Shops in Foxborough, MA is seeking a Team Leader to direct department associates, oversee merchandising, inventory control, pricing, and customer service. Under the supervision of the Group Sales or Department Manager, you will guide daily operations and staff performance.

You will help achieve sales and service goals, coordinate staffing and training, and promote a high‑quality shopping experience while maintaining product knowledge and executing corporate directives.

Qualifications

• Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience: 2 to 4 years in Retail Sales
• Supervisory experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Support the GSM/DM in achievement of Departmental Sales, Gross Margin, Inventory Shrinkage and Payroll Goals.
• Provide daily direction to the associates within the department.
• Prepare to-do / Task lists.
• Execute merchandising directives and maintain all plan-o-grams as set by the Corporate Office.
• Ensure a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers.
• Assist the GSM/DM and Human Resources Manager to staff the department with service oriented associates; participate in interviewing and recommends selection; coordinate training; prepare weekly schedules; coach associates.
• Resolve customer and associate opportunities with GSM/DM and HR Manager.
• Maintain a high level of personal customer service; achieve better than Company average customer service results.
• Remain Product expert through ongoing product knowledge training; conduct product demos to staff.
• Assist in coordinating Special Events; pricing/upc integrity; assortment accuracy; display and pricing of advertised items.
• Assist in supervisory responsibilities per company policies including interviewing, training, planning, assigning and directing work.
• Provide a legendary experience for every customer by identifying needs, recommending products, and promoting programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC and In-Store Pick-up.
• All other duties as assigned
